Introducing Rio Coffee’s training facility located at our Stepney roastery, the purpose – built studio houses all the latest technology and is available at no cost to our wholesale customers. The studio is also utilised for public training courses and provides an immersive, hands – on experience.

Rio Coffee currently offers a comprehensive, ‘Coffee Studio’, where both baristas and café owners can absorb information on the evolving and dynamic coffee spectrum. Rio Coffee’s barista trainers will tweak knowledge and techniques from a wide variety of sources, reiterating that our curriculum is responsive and frequentative.

Our Barista at Home training course is designed for the coffee enthusiasts, seeking to improve their use of their home espresso machine. ‘Learning the art of coffee making’ sessions are held regularly on Saturday mornings for $120 for 120 minutes from 9:30 – 11:30 am.

We require Barista Training participants to be fully vaccinated against Covid 19 or have an exemption to attend a class. We apologise if this is an inconvenience, please get in touch if you have any questions or concerns. Our Barista Trainers have been fully vaccinated.
On arrival, students will be required to check in and show proof of vaccination as well as being asked to wash or sanitise their hands. Surfaces and equipment will be regularly cleaned, strict measures have been put in place to ensure the safety of students and staff.
